Sunburst supports green design, products, and buildings. We show our commitment by reusing materials whenever we can. We recycle water that cools down components when they’re coming out of ovens. We reuse packaging materials. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we prepare our window treatments for transportation to your home for installation, we insert reusable corner pieces on the louvers’ edges and use as little cardboard as possible to pack up the shutters.

Our plantation shutters are coated with paints and finishes that are hypoallergenic and environmentally safe. In our manufacturing method, none of our paints emit fumes. When we claim our paints aren’t toxic, we mean it.
